I can't wait to try some of them! ( ) This is a book containing beautiful photographs of delicious-looking food combined with the author's spunky personality. She is a self-taught and creative cook (that's how I describe myself as well) but I don't think I'll be making these recipes. Many of them are familiar, like other recipes I have made, or they have too many ingredients which make the recipes overly time-consuming. And I felt they are more complicated than they have to be. Also, I was surprised at how decadent many of the ingredients were (by today's standards). Lots of butter, bacon, and cheese. I have to point out though, that the chocolate desserts do look pretty irresistible. I like reading recipe books and I did enjoy reading this. no reviews | add a review
The blogger behind "Half Baked Harvest," shares over one hundred and twenty-five recipes for dishes that include pan-fried feta with thyme and greek marinated olives, steak shawarma bowls, and gooey chocolate coconut caramel bars.
Gerard shares recipes for dishes that express her freedom and creativity. Here she shows you how to give the standards a kick, bake in some secret ingredients (molasses in your apple pie?) and keep your family dinners exciting and interesting. No library descriptions found. |
