I'm trying the Thai Sticky Meatballs tonight and can't wait to try other recipes from this beautiful cookbook. ( )

This is a book containing beautiful photographs of delicious-looking food combined with the author's spunky personality. She is a self-taught and creative cook (that's how I describe myself as well) but I don't think I'll be making these recipes. Many of them are familiar, like other recipes I have made, or they have too many ingredients which make the recipes overly time-consuming. And I felt they are more complicated than they have to be. Also, I was surprised at how decadent many of the ingredients were (by today's standards). Lots of butter, bacon, and cheese. I have to point out though, that the chocolate desserts do look pretty irresistible. I like reading recipe books and I did enjoy reading this. ( )
