I'm not certain if this is the end of Louisa Clark's story, but it was nice to spend a little more time with her. With the last book leaving off with Lou headed to New York City, this book chronicles her American adventures and the toll it takes on her budding relationship with Sam. With her characteristic humor and awkwardness, Lou finds herself navigating the outlines of New York City high society, which includes quirky family dynamics, grumpy servants, and a temperamental old lady with a dog. Lou has her up and downs throughout this book and manages to slowly build the kind of future she wants. A good read and something those who've read the previous books in Lou's story will want to pick up. ( )

Louisa Clark arrives in New York to start a new job and a new life. She is determined to follow Will’s advice to strike out on her own, be adventurous and try new things and live her life to the fullest. She has left her new love Sam in England in the hopes that their rather new romantic relationship will survive.

Louisa is to work as an assistant to the wealthy Agnes Gopnik. Through her job she learns much about the city and about the life of the rich residents. She meets Joshua Ryan who resembles Will, finds friends among the Gopnik’s staff members, stumbles upon a vintage clothing shop and after an unfortunate misunderstanding finds herself being a companion to an elderly lady.

Louisa Clark definitely begins this book way out of her comfort zone. But as the book progresses she gains her own personal strength and identity in spite of the many roadblocks that come her way. She learns much about herself and her relationships. And the city of New York, so strange to her at the beginning, becomes her own.

The book is both sad and funny. It is loaded with New York tidbits. And if offers several lessons to the reader….be yourself and get to know a person before forming an opinion. The plot, the setting, and the characters combine to create a suitable and satisfactory addition to the Me Before You series.

I love Louisa Clark. There isn't a Character I have ever read that I enjoy as much. She is so very human. Her trials and tribulations. Her outlook is what most people aspire to have.

I love how in-depth the characters are. It is easy to empathize or decide how you feel about them. Louisa is always on a journey to self discovery. Some of her situations and miss-steps along the way seriously hamper her progress. But as always she finds a way to navigate around the mires of life.

My favorite book character of all time. Right down to her bumble bee tights. This book is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching at times. But I highly recommend curling up with this book. It's a good book for your soul. ( )

Louisa Clark arrives in New York ready to start a new life, confident that she can embrace this new adventure and keep her relationship with Ambulance Sam alive across several thousand miles. She steps into the world of the superrich, working for Leonard Gopnik and his much younger second wife, Agnes. Lou is determined to get the most out of the experience and throws herself into her new job and New York life.

As she begins to mix in New York high society, Lou meets Joshua Ryan, a man who brings with him a whisper of her past. Before long, Lou finds herself torn between Fifth Avenue where she works and the treasure-filled vintage clothing store where she actually feels at home. And when matters come to a head, she has to ask herself: Who is Louisa Clark? And how do you find the courage to follow your heart—wherever that may lead?

Funny, romantic, and poignant, Still Me follows Lou as she discovers who she is and who she was always meant to be—and to live boldly in her brave new world.
