If you hadn't heard of Temple Grandin before, then this book will give you a great glimpse into who she was and what she has accomplished. This book is great for middle to older elementary school students and introduces them to autism and how people with this learning disability think and learn. In the back of the book, there is a timeline of what she did with cattle and shows actual pictures of her which is awesome because students are able to actually see who they are reading about. This would be a great book to read to students and then have an open discussion about learning disabilities. ( )
