Holy HotHoles

Oh man my love for the Hotholes only gets stronger with each book I read. Trent is the mute but his actions are way more than his words and his actions are on fire. Edie and Trent both have issues that they need to work out and both do things that are questionable but on the end their love for each other is stronger than the crap they deal with. ( )

A nice addition to the series. I liked the heroine. I think she was written pretty true to her age. I just want to say one thing though. I don't know what world the author is living in but expecting me to believe that the 18 year old heroine can come up with 12 thousand dollars a month to keep her brother in a group home is ludicrous. Even if she is stealing. She would have to be doing nothing but stealing. And if there were that many muggings in that relatively small town over that many months I don't believe there is any way that she would not have been caught long before.

There was a pretty big age gap here and I was happy to see that it was addressed as a problem. Okay , I was going to say that maybe the hero treated her a little too roughly/crudely for their disparate ages but on second thought. She was fairly experienced sexually and had plenty of time to know what he was like in that regard before they hooked up. And he discovered that he didn't want to treat her badly in bed once he got her there so that was good. I could have done without theI love it when you hurt me lines from her because they weren't really adequately set up as something she needed or would enjoy and just seemed out of left field ish. Plus I liked the element of him discovering that he wanted to be different for/with her and I think that the author should have allowed that to be a stronger element. ( )

It's a tough read. They are both such broken people.
I am not keen on the so called hero being with anyone else once the so called heroine is in his life. Trent 'sees' other people after he meets and wants Edie but they are not together at that point and they are supposed enemies, not just love hate, they have different agendas.
The problem is Edie is so damaged, her life is awful, unknown to others and Trent is so mean it makes it a hard read.

Excellent story

What happens when you fall in love with the wrong person? That's what Trent and Edie are about to find out.

She's almost 1/2 his age and the daughter of his partner, who just happens to want to kick him out of the business. Trent knows that he should leave Edie alone, he just can't.

Edie's father keeps her under his thumb through blackmail. He wants her to do something terrible, she hates that she has to do it. Can she and Trent find their way to their HEA?

Strong writing, excellent story, great characters. Loved seeing characters from the other books. All in all, really enjoyed it. ( )
