Un peu à l’image du film Mon fantôme d’amour, l’auteur Bernard Werber utilise les deux univers parallèles pour tisser une intrigue autour de son personnage principal Gabriel Wells qui se demande qui de son frère jumeau, de son ex, de ses détracteurs ou de son éditeur aurait tiré profit de son élimination.
