As with most Umberto Eco books, the concept is fabulous but the writing is horrible. ( )

Usually i love reading Eco but this is just to deep into Italian childhood lit that i am losing interest to finish it. ( )

I started this book and was distracted from it for some horrible reason. Cannot wait to finish it. Eco is brilliant.

A wonderful book again from Umberto Eco flawed, once again, by a weak and disappointing ending. It just seems, like Stephen King, he cannot take the time to write a decent ending that doesn't make the rest of the book seem less engaging. This book is not as dense and is more accessible than other Eco novels.

I found the numerous illustrations fascinating but this may distract some readers. ( )
