Photographer and filmmaker Andreas Horvath has traveled to Yakutia in northeast Siberia several times during the last ten years collecting impressions. His resume is impressive: in addition to having made several independent films, his photographs have been published in journals and books, he has had single and group exhibitions in various countries, and teaches in Salzburg. As Andreas Horvath explains, Yakutia lies seven time zones away from Moscow, a land the size of western Europe.
