This was an enjoyable little film with some humour but also some tragedy and one very unexpected twist. It made me think about those people who despise fantasy as unrealistic yet will happily watch soaps, crime etc because they are "real" - err, NO - they are equally fantasy. ( )

Would be a truly truly great resource for teaching media literacy!! interview with Nighy: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/feb/08/bill-nighy-interview-second-best-ex...

There are a few moments of humour in this but mostly it's a gentle fun movie with some tragic moments, it is, after all, the war. This is about a writer who finds a niche writing war feel-good/propaganda movies and the relationships that build around her.

I really enjoyed it. ( )
