"Truly, Wildly, Deeply" was recommended to me by a Year 7 girl, and I can understand why she enjoyed it so much. It was a sweet, fluffy and humorous read with endearing characters. Although the protagonists were supposed to be sixteen or older, to me they felt much young. However, they were all wholesome and relatable, especially Annie and Fab.

I liked that Annie was an independent young lady who refused to be defined by her cerebral palsy and Fab reminded me of an exuberant puppy, but I didn't like how he behaved later in the book. However, the banter and friendship between Fab and Annie was great but I think the author should have left the romance out. It didn't gel.

Other positives included all the "Wuthering Heights" references; Fab's big, welcoming, Polish family; Annie's new friend, Hilary, and Annie's mother and her relationship with her daughter. Overall, I can see "Truly, Wildly, Deeply" being a popular novel with teenage girls ( )
