A deeply memorable and heartbreaking book about the third and sometimes lesser known Kennedy wife. Joan never seemed to fit the mold of what the Kennedys wanted her to be, though she did her very best to please and advance the Kennedy political machine - even at her own expense. Covering her tumultuous marriage to Ted, there is a happy ending for Joan, who was able to make a life for herself after leaving her husband. ( )
