I read this book after I had read about Josie and Gabe. It didn't affect the story at all. If anything, having the little snippets from that book enhanced this story.
The author has a beautiful way with words. The characters were believable and relatable. I loved Lucia in Josie's story but even more so in this one. And Calvin. Holy Swiss cheese on a Trisquit. because this man is delicious. A man that reads, loves books, has a dirty mouth and has all the moves in the bedroom is like kryptonite. Something sexy about a hot nerd.
Highly recommended.
