I have to say though, I'm enjoying the peripheral characters a lot more than Sookie and Bill. One can only take so much relationship angst. ;) I did really enjoy getting to 'meet' Alcide and spend more time with Bubba and Eric. Hoping that we get to see more of Pam in the coming books. Her interactions with Sookie are really a lot of fun. Sookie Stackhouse is drawn deeper into the machinations of vampiric politics and hidden agendas. Due to her own insecurities and desires she finds herself wide open, vulnerable and unable to do anything else other than their bidding. She takes what she can get while seeking to answer all the questions she has kept in her head and begins to wonder if it is better to be alive, dead, undead or subjugated by all three. Sookie's boyfriend has been very distant-in another state, distant. Now she's off to Mississippi to mingle with the underworld at Club Dead-a little haunt where the vampire elite go to chill out. But when she finally finds Bill-caught in an act of betrayal-she's not sure whether to save him...or sharpen some stakes. No library descriptions found. |
