3-1/2 stars. This was well written and moved right along. I loved the premise of the much younger heroine in love with her brother's best friend. That part of the story worked well. I think the thing that brought it down for me was the element about his past and his feud with his father and stepmother. There were too many ideas crammed into the book. There was too much going on and it took away from the more interesting elements of the story for me. Still it was a good read. ( )
