I rated this book higher than many might due to its use of adjectives and labelling! SO many ECRTR possibilities! ( )

This book was a fictions novel that involved a mole who loves to label things and is very easily scared and an alligator who wants to make friends. He does not understand this new creature he sees one day so he starts labeling it with different prepositions until it wakes up and he realizes that it is a scary alligator with big sharp teeth. The alligator ate all the labels and decided to follow mole wherever he went and would eat all mole's labels as he simply wanted to play and have the mole's attention. They then become friends once the mole realizes how much the alligator likes him and is in fact not scary. This book is a good example of fiction since it has talking animals who write and a mole and alligator are friends. This books uses what looks life sketching and watercolor and possibly oil pastels.v I would use this book in a 2nd and 3rd grade class to talk about adjectives and other describing words. ( )
