Die "Baby Universität" verfolgt den Ansatz, dass man nicht früh genug damit anfangen kann, die Kinder mit richtiger Wissenschaft in Kontakt zu bringen.

Die Aufmachung (Pappbilderbuch, klare Farben, einfach Formen) ist auf den ersten Seiten durchaus auch Baby- (bzw. Kleinkind-)gerecht, doch kommt der Sprung von "bunte Bälle" zum differenzierten Atommodell doch recht plötzlich. Ab da wollten die Autoren wohl auch den vorlesenden Eltern noch etwas bieten, denn es erscheinen in grau recht viele Strichmodelle auch von komplexen Molekülen.

Mit Fachwissen und für den Unterricht ein netter Gag, als Klein(st)kind-Pappbilderbuch überzeugt es mich nicht so recht. ( )
