If you are thinking about an Alaska cruise, this is the book you want. It's not only filled with details of what to expect, it is full of anecdotes. The map is particularly useful when following your cruise. It really enhanced the enjoyment of our cruise (July 2015).

Also, if you can't go on a cruise, this book makes a good virtual tour. ( )
