If there is one radio program I would love to have a collection of, it's Karl Haas' "Adventures in Good Music", and it's all but impossible to read this without hearing the adagio cantabile from the Sonata Pathétique in the back of your mind, or the words rolling off the page in his warm, friendly voice into your mind's ear. Recommended if you want to learn more about Good Music and how it's made... or even if you just miss the maestro. ( )

I remember Haas' classical music show on radio from my youth. His legacy is this book. ( )
