There was no future, Caroline knew, in her love for Andrew. Not only was he married, but his wife loved and needed him-and Caroline had no intention of destroying her happiness. So she was thankful to get a job as companion to the young daughter of Don Esteban de Montejo, in far -off Mexico. But there Caroline found herself in a worse situation than the one she had just escaped. There was something disturbingly wrong about the entire Montejo family -all that was except Don Esteban's brother Luis. But Luis was barred to Caroline for every kind of reason...
