The second world war has ended and Biggles and his friends are sitting in a derelict aerodrome trying to figure out what to do with their lives as Air Commodore Raymond enters, except that he is now with the Scotland Yard and desperately needs some fliers to go after some crooks.

And with that the chase begins. Adventure, flying, danger, all the common ingredients, and while this in some ways feel like a continuation of Biggles Sweeps the Desert, the author has grown up a bit. There is less of the ignorant attitude towards other people though there is a bit of it left. ( )

Aardig verhaal.
