This is a well-written story of a drug addict's struggles. For American readers, the 'exotic' setting will show the universality of human problems. There is a helpful glossary of Hindi terms. ( )

It's the story of Aarti a girl from the lower middle class family who work to make their ends meet with difficulty and Aarti do odd jobs to take care of her family and fulfill her materialistic needs and for that she don't care to give bodily pleasure to rich ones who can give her all the things she wanted, Then there is Aakash who was a rich guy , a grandson of rajapur head mahant , but due to bad childhood and living in Mumbai with drug abuser friends, then when he came to Rajapur things changed he started stealing, and richest household of the Rajapur ,the woman of the house like him as treat him with affection and care like her own son, and the common factor that they didn't get the love they both wanted and made them people they are, then his past came in front of him, and things start falling apart, now aakash life was wasted as he lost the precious Mrs.somani possession and then mrs. Somani blame Aarti for it and things falls apart, and after jail Aarti changed and when she met Aakash in bad shape she helped him, and give his life a direction but he end up meeting a sad end, but did something meaningful before the end. Although the pace of the plot is super fast moving from one event to another, and the flow was good, this book didn't need a comic relief because change of events are fast characters are well balanced and appropriately used. The writing style is a kind of Shakespearen as if of a double plot story and one interject one another at one point of time. ( )

First of all thanks to author sir Govind Sharma for providing me with the free copy of all his book in return of a honest review. I love reading the books written by sir. It's because sir writes the book in very simple language and keeps his reader excited about the book. This book is about Akash and Aarti and mostly revolves around Aakash who is a drug addict and Aarti to become rich she has to sell her body. This book is not a love story but a life of drug addict who can't stay without drugs, this does not mean he can do any thing he wants. In this book author has shown the drug addict as a good human being doing only those things which makes him but drugs. This story is mainly written for only one thing "Say no to drugs". This book actually shows how a drug addict behaves in normal situation. Expected a relatively good love story, but this book is not about love. Overall I would say it was a lovely Goodread.... 😊 ( )
