Booker T. Washington was from the last generation of African American leaders born into slavery and became the leading voice of the former slaves. This book goes into great detail about his life from slavery to death. It tells you all about his teachings and how he became a principle of an all slavery school in Mississippi. He was a true leader and hero for the slaves. ( )
