But, I didn’t like the characters at all. Got tired and bored and stopped reading half way through. ( ) 3.5 stars - This is the kind of book Anne Bogel would call a "multi-generational family saga." I was here for it. I switched back and forth from the audiobook to ebook, since I found it engaging enough for both daytime listening while catching up around the house and bedtime reading on the page. No, I didn't love everything about all of the characters, but there was some character development, and I appreciated reading about the family dynamic from all of the different viewpoints. I will quibble and reduce 1/2 star for a husband who infantilizes his wife by calling her "kid," though. no reviews | add a review
