I like the premise: real witches & their cat familiars solve supernatural crime at Christmastime. Here, to catch a killer that eats children during winter solstice. But the main character is disturbing; she laughs & makes jokes at inappropriate times. I strongly disliked her making stupid decisions, plainly as plot devices. I don’t think the author realizes the mc is so unlikeable! She comes across as a ditzy female who lacks any depth. SPOILER ALERT: and it takes a man and a gun to finally resolve the final conflict. So much for strong women taking down evil by their own powers. ( )
