A sweet children's book with cute illustrations. ( )

Cute, but nothing to write home about story-wise. A slightly over-long account of a rule-follower who has a personal journey to accepting the foibles of others. ( )

Perfect book for those first born perfectionist learning to take time for themselves. ( )

The good egg has been good for as long as he remembers. When the other eggs in his carton are rotten, he always does what is good and right. One day he decided enough is enough and he begin to crack from the pressure of always having to be perfect all the time. This is a good follow up to the book The Bad Seed and could be used in the classroom to talk about the balance of being well behaved but also not having to be perfect all the time. ( )

The main character is a very good egg who is constantly worried about his peers. Since the very good egg spends a lot time worrying about the rest of the eggs, he found himself doing more for others than for himself. He learned to focus on himself and take actions that benefit him. I would recommend this book to elementary and middle school students because children are constantly making friends and can get caught up worrying about their peers too much. This book has many good take aways and amazing illustrations. ( )

Book description
The good egg has been good for as long as he can remember. While the other eggs in his carton are kind of rotten, he always does the right, kind, and courteous thing. He is a verrrrrrry good egg indeed! Until one day he decides that enough is enough! He begins to crack (quite literally) from the pressure of always having to be grade-A perfect.
