Listened to the audiobook and Rannell's reading of his book is really good, and the story is funny and was a lot of fun to listen to. True to the subtitle, it ends when his childhood dream comes true - with his debut night in a role on a Broadway musical. If you want to pick this one up I really recommend the audiobook. ( )

This is an autobiographical memoir of Andrew Rannells who will eventually be a major character in the HBO series Girls. This is not about that. This is his story of a novice nineteen year old who moves from Omaha, Nebraska to attend college in New York City. I think he gives a fair appraisal of his successes and shortcomings as a young gay man in the Big Apple. This is a true to life voyeuristic look up till the point he realizes his initial dream of being in a play on Broadway. Fun to read. ( )
