Borrowed ( ![]() Twilight and New Moon are the only good books in this series. Enjoyed the audiobook as a re-read/re-listen. In the 2nd book, we get a less Edward-filled story which I wasn't totally mad about. I was a little concerned about how I was gonna feel about one of my favorite book boyfriends not being there for the majority of the story, but it was better than I thought. In the beginning, we get Bellward as a couple which I love! When Edward left I got so mad and was like "What am I suppose to do now?" but I was not disappointed by the end. I liked the Jake and Bella friendship and reading about them building motorcycles but it never got more than that. Then we come to my favorite part when Bella rushed to Volterra to save Edward and I am OBSESSED. It was so thrilling and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time reading her running to save him. One of my favorite story endings. I was so completely satisfied. But when Edward asks her to- aghhhh. You know the rest if u read. LOVED IT.
Less streamlined than Twilight yet just as exciting, New Moon will more than feed the bloodthirsty hankerings of fans of the first volume and leave them breathless for the third. This best-selling sequel to “Twilight” — which introduced Edward, the world’s most gentlemanly 17-year-old vampire, and Bella, an ordinary teenager in Forks, Wash. — appropriately begins with an epigraph from “Romeo and Juliet”; love and death are once again entwined in their curiously absorbing romance. Despite Bella's flat and obsessive personality, this tale of tortured demon lovers entices. Is contained inContainsHas the adaptationHas as a student's study guide
When the Cullens, including her beloved Edward, leave Forks rather than risk revealing that they are vampires, it is almost too much for eighteen-year-old Bella to bear, but she finds solace in her friend Jacob until he is drawn into a "cult" and changes in terrible ways.
