I read this for the "An Author Who Uses A Pseudonym" part of my 2019 reading challenge. It was decent, the crime was well written enough that the bad guy wasn't immediately obvious, but I wouldn't say it was a surprise either. I'd be willing to read more of the series. ( )

The Characters:

Eve Dallas: Police Lieutenant
Roarke: Independently wealthy, entrepreneurial, man of mystery and sexy times
Ryan Feeny (former police partner and friend), Mavis (BFF)

The Story:

I’ve been wanting to read this series for a long time and this Read-a-long is a very good excuse to start it. I didn’t realize I was committing to 60 books but after this first one I don’t think it will be a problem. There is action, passion and a good mystery all set in the future. I can’t wait to see where this goes. ( )
