A good entry in this series about Malaysia when it was still administered by the British. Ash Carter, loose cannon, James Bondish former military special investigator is available to covertly, sort of, support the Raj presence. In this case ghosts and deaths at an outpost upcountry. He is an interesting character and the complex plot holds your attention. Hopefully, the woman reporter will become a fixture in the future. She adds another interesting character to the mix. ( )
