* I got this book for review from the publisher for my honest thoughts*

I really liked this read. It reminded me alot of spy kids or we must be heroes or also artmis fowl but more real world and less supnatual. It also had some elements that reminded me of the 39 clues series. I really liked charlie as a main character. I also liked that this book we did get other people POV as well. I also really liked how this book had a tie to history and real science. I will def check out book 2! But i think i might try the audibook for that read!! ( )

I almost never say this, but...
This book is perfect. Or as close to perfect as you can get.
Engaging plot line, strong female role models, identifiable characters, moral lessons, comedy, action...this book has it all. I read it a few years ago. Is the book a bit easy for an average twelve year old? Yes. Is it an easy read for me? Yes. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s an incredible piece of writing. Great for both reluctant and voracious readers. ( )

This was a book club book and there was a lot of great discussion even with it being a middle grade novel. It has a DaVinci Code type feel to the story. Gibbs did a great job blending math, setting, action and history throughout the novel. Interesting and entertaining. I look forward to reading the sequel. ( )
