This book has everything you'd want from a regency novel, with outstanding female lead characters, an acerbic sense of wit and an exploration of the issues facing a woman in the ealy 19th century and its excellently written to boot. And a to top it all off it has magic. And I love this line “Consider, Aunt. Roving bands of ladies, seducing the innocent young gentlemen and leaving them abandoned in their homes" no reviews | add a review

Overall I enjoyed this book and I think the idea behind inheriting a stash of books that the MC then tries to sell off is cute. But more editing and proofreading should have been done, and I'm not sure closets in Regency England were that common, so I'm downgrading it somewhat. ( )
