Overall Opinion:
What the Fek? This was a lot shorter than I had expected, so when I breeze through the ARC, the fantasy novel was over before I knew it. To sum it up there was action, romance and great characters that had me turning the pages without missing a beat. Let's not forget to mention that "Dark Alpha's Redemption" didn't out beat the previous installment but I still had an overall enjoyable reading experience and the author was able to surprised me with a twist I wasn't expecting which I wished she would have further explored. Moreso the romance between Maeve and Bradach love was instant and there just wasn't enough built up leading to the whirlwind romance and despite that, Donna Grant made that up with the other great elements that brought this story together. Overall decent read and I can't wait for the next one.

Great story. It left me wantng more.

Bradach has been assigned the task of getting to know Maeve the Merciless. The information Maeve has could help the Reapers find Xaneth, a fae taken by Usaeil after he helped them defeated Bran. But Maeve is a dark fae and Bradach doesn’t know if he can work with the dark after his betrayal until he meets Maeve and finds himself drawn to her. Maeve is a strong intelligent woman who has a business to run and only agrees to help because her king personally asks her. But there is something about Bradach that intrigues her. Dark Alphas Redemption is book 8 in the Reapers series by Donna Grant. If you are new to Donna Grant's books you will not be disappointed. To learn all of the characters and get the backstory I highly recommend starting with book 1 of the Reaper series or better yet start at the beginning of the Dark World series with Dark Sword. ( )

As with any and all books that Donna Grant pens, this book is extraordinary.

Bradach is a bada$$ character with betrayal his past and hate in his heart for the Dark Fae. He meets his match with Mauve. She knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. She has come to be one of my favorite characters, behind Rhi of course.

We get a glimpse of a new character that rival the creepiness that rival the wyrran as well as quite a few Dragon Kings.

This story is magical, exciting and definitely page turning. I can’t wait for the next one!

I received this book for review.

Donna Grant’s DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION (Reaper #8) is a thrilling read. In this story, Reaper Bradach enlists the help of Dark Fae Maeve to help discover the location of his fellow Reaper, Xeneth, who had been kidnaped. Despite hating the Dark Fae, Bradach finds himself attracted to Maeve. This paranormal romance is suitable for adult readers.

I really enjoyed DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION. It was a creative and exciting novel. Donna Grant does a great job with both her storyline and character development. Both Bradach and Maeve are not what they seem. They both have secrets. They have incredible chemistry. I appreciated that they both discover things about themselves through the story.

DARK ALPHA'S REDEMPTION was skillfully written. It has interesting twists and unexpected outcomes. It is a praiseworthy addition to the Reaper series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. ( )

Dark Alpha’s Redemption by Donna Grant
Reapers #8

In this ongoing paranormal saga created by Donna Grant Bradach, a Reaper in the second group of Reapers is set a task. He is to find Xaneth, a royal fae who disappeared in battle. He is to approach Maeve, a dark fae, to get information that might lead to Xaneth’s location. There is instant attraction between Bradach and Maeve that is not acted upon till later in the story. There is plenty of action and skulduggery with good and evil pitted against one another. We glimpse some of the characters from the past books, too.

Having read all of the Reapers series, a few of the books with dragons and not many of the others I have managed to piece together a fair understanding of what is going on and know that eventually there will be an ultimate showdown that will involve many groups (dragons, druids, fae, druids and perhaps others) to set the world aright. I am eager to find out how that will happen and who some of the main characters will end up with that have not found their mates.

I have no idea how many more books are plotted before the end of this series but am eager to find out how it will all work out in the end. That said, I did find myself thinking...how much longer will this continue, when WILL it end and how many more of these books am I willing to read to find out?

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Paperbacks for the ARC – This is my honest review.
