Erotic Literature. Fiction. HTML:

In the final volume of Anne Rice's erotic trilogy, Beauty's adventures on the dark side of sexuality make her the bound captive of an Eastern Sultan and a prisoner in the exotic confines of the harem. As this voloptuous adult fairy tale moves toward conclusion, all of Beauty's encouters with myriad variations of sexual fantasy are presented in a sensuous, rich prose that intensifies this exquisite rendition of Love's secret world and makes the Beauty series an incomparable study of erotica. In it, Anne Rice makes the forbidden side of passion a doorway into the hidden regions of the psyche and the heart.

I did read this series, but since the author does not support anonymity for readers (only authors are allowed such luxury, apparently), I am removing my rating. ( )

I liked this book quite a bit, but I would have liked to read it more in Beauty's point of view. It was still probably the best book in the trilogy and I totally loved the ending. It surprised me, but I loved it. ( )

I love the subplot and the finale of this series. The sex is kinky and a bit extreme, but the explanation of the sub/dom desires are spot-on. ( )

The third (last) book of the series was luckily more excting than part 2. Still need to say that all is a bit toooo much overdone. Specially the part at the palace of the Sultan. The part in the stables was for me, as a female I think, couldn't captivate me. The end was, though not surprising, still great to read. For me it could have been a bit deeper as it seems that the end was a bit rushed. ( )

I did really like this series, though it is not for the squeamish. I was not sure how it would end, but like the fairy tale of the namesake, it does have a happy ever after. ( )
