Diane was born in a fishing town in Maine. She and her siblings live in poverty, ignorant of most of the outside world, and Diane is happy with this world. A man tries to molest Diane in her home. Then, her mother leaves home leaving the children behind to be placed in foster care, where Diane faces more abuse. As an adult, Diane divorces after a bad marriage but then faces horrible abuse in a new relationship. She tries to leave her abuser, but he stalks her continuously. She finally is able to escape him. Diane meets a man with whom she feels safe, but the nightmare continues: she finds she is again in an abusive relationship. When her husband dies from an illness, she realizes that she needs to find an angel to share her love and life with before it is her time to go too. No library descriptions found. |
