Through defininitions, explinations through story telling, minute bios, and quick history, readers will walk away with vocabulary and What I Loved: I love how this book is appropriate for ages 10 and up. There are some words that are a bit complex, but with the use of illustrations, including infographs, this book can help young people understand others, as well as themselves. The same goes for anyone who is trying to understand complexities of gender within themselves or someone close to them. It does so in a non judgemental way explains vocab and etiquette and does so in a captivating way. What I Missed: While this book is extremely comprehensive to how people choose to express themselves, I wish there were a few guidelines for people to have these conversations with others. Including how to advocate for yourself to those who refuse to validate your expression, This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This has been the absolute perfect addition to my classroom LGBT Lending Library. The format is easy to read and makes the information appealing to all readers.
