So I think I'm not the biggest David Shannon fan. His books are "meh" to me, but that is obviously a personal preference thing!

However, if someone wants a repetitive book (perfect for teaching "sequencing"), this is a great choice. And for a girl who had a dog growing up, the concept of dirt is completely relatable!! (

Roy is a dog with a long gross tongue who likes dirt a lot. You could say he digs it as well as digs in it. Digs/likes? Get it? Okay? Now you don't need to read the book. (
