Nope. This wasn't doing anything for me. First things first, the characters were blah but kudos for the author for introducing a diverse lead heroine. Otherwise there's not much to say about this read. It lacked depth, the storyline wasn't intriguing enough to draw me in and the characters were b-o-r-i-n-g. I dropped this like a hot potato because why waste time on a romance I'm just not invested in, ya feel me? ( )

Thuy Nguyen comes to Green Valley with her heavily pregnant best friend Maddy. She's never lived in a small town before but she's willing to work the farm that Maddy inherited, even if her background is as a librarian. Maddy's biker brother Drill is trouble though in more ways than one, a bad boy that Thuy wants to be bad with.
We've met Drill before in the Winston Brothers series. He's one of the Wraiths, but he goes fishing with Hank and Beau and doesn't seem one of the especially bad bikers. I love Thuy. She's a tiny Vietnamese bad-ass librarian, and you can't get a much better heroine than that.
I have to admit I had no idea how Ms. Yardley was going to resolve the mess with the Wraiths (the biker gang in Green Valley but no spoilers). She does a great job at tying up all the loose ends though and I breathed a sigh of relief because Drill and Thuy belong together. And the sections at the library were a great addition to the story with Thuy getting a job there and wanting to help the teens utilize the library better. This is a wonderful Green Valley Library book that I really enjoyed reading. ( )
