The book begins with a duck wondering how he came into the world. After his parents explain that he was also formed in an egg, he becomes excited about his new baby sibling. When the egg hatches, the baby is out and everyone is quacking up about it. I think kids would appreciate this sweet story. ( )

A nice story about a child duck learning about his childhood and what to expect from his new brother or sister. You can use this book to talk about life, life science, and birth. ( )

For my two year old twins - this book was not very entertaining for them. The ducks were all introduced with different names - this one is Grandpa, this one is Auntie - but they all looked the same! Not much happens in the story except a bunch of ducks standing around an egg waiting for it to hatch. This might be a great book for older kids, but definitely not my toddlers! ( )
