Categories: Best Cover Art This was not my favorite Lily Morton. Sure it was fun, but the focus was divided between the mystery part and the romance part. The romance got less attention in favor of a mystery that was fairly predictable (and if I'm honest, a bit boring because it has been done so many times). Also there was the bit All in all, I really think Morton should stick to contemporary fluffy romances or put a lot more effort in if she's going to delve into mysteries. I don’t like ghosts (unless Sam, Dean, Cas, Crowley or Rowena are hanging around) and I can’t understand some of the authors’ need lately to use Present Tense. A trend? Ugh... Anyway, there were some other issues. The revealing of the Devil’s identity came as a surprise to me; it was pretty obvious early on, I thought it was understood. Salt ...it’s a staple. Dean and Sam did not uncover any long lost secrets here. Well known fact, that. Funny, Blue didn’t use it sooner, since he is so knowledgeable in all things spiritual. I wish more time was spent on Blue and Levi in the beginning than focusing on Levi’s furniture and house renovations. There was very little chemistry between the two. Switching POVs. While I am glad we got both men covered, the switching was rather lopsided. Once again, Levi’s furniture got in the way... hehe... For some reason I also had hard time remembering whose POV was being used as I was reading the chapters. The whole thing was rather messy. I will not continue. no reviews | add a review
