This is one of the first books lent me by the priest who instructed me in my conversion process. His is a story of humility, desire, and great love of Jesus and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. As a Capuchin priest, he was not allowed to hear confessions or preach, as it was deemed he was not bright enough. But he was allowed to be a doorkeeper (porter), and in this capacity, he changed thousands of lives through his wise counsel, humility, and supernatural gifts. I know of some people who spoke with him when he was alive, and who were healed or given prophetic counsel. He has helped me in many ways, this humble saint.
