Brief but accurate portrayal of Sharpe at his best, devious, tactically correct, and successful. Old enemies appear, new allies found and caroling as a weapon, vintage Sharpe. ( )

Two short stories - Sharpe's Christmas set in 1813 and Sharpe's Ransom set just after Waterloo and in peacetime France. Always good to read a Sharpe tome...
Having recently read Sharpe's Waterloo, re-read Sharpe's Ransom as it fits chronologically. Still good stuff ( )

Two short stories featuring Richard Sharpe. If you have to read every Sharpe story then read these. If you haven't read any of the Sharpe books yet, this is not the place to start. ( )
