What a lovely book! Truly charming, with lovely humorous drawings, and the bear has so much personality. ( )

One of my favorite books from childhood, both listening and reading. The record with narration by Keenen Wynn is marvelous also. Download of record available at kiddierecords.com (as of 7/15/09). ( )

Delightful book, presumably written for children, but can be appreciated by adults. Of course I first read it as a child, so I might be biased. ( )

I can't say it's a fabulous book but it does mean alot to me. I read this book as a child and enjoyed it. As an adult, wow, it says lots don't you think!? ( )

Once upon a time there were three bears and then there was the bear that wasnt. That other bear - "The Bear that Wasn't," is a children's book too. It was written and illustrated by Frank Tashlin in 1946. And like many children's books, "The Bear that Wasn't," is a good story with wonderful pictures and even some political satire to appeal to adults who read it, as well.
