This is a book to be enjoyed by all ages! The authors bring history alive with a sampling of heroes from all walks of life and from different eras. The preponderance of photographs, both formal and informal, make the heroes very real to the reader and the writing style is very kid-friendly. All in all a great book! Highly Recommended! ( )

What a great book! This book had 50 American heroes in it and many of them were scientists. For example one of the heroes was Thomas Alva Edison who was an inventor. It showed a picture of him and his inventions and gave addresses as to where they are kept nowadays. I would like to have this book in my classroom because it is a historical book and students can learn alot from this book. It relates to science because this book talks about many scientists that came from the U.S. ( )

Real heroes are often those who quietly do what is right-especially when everyone else seems to be doing something else.… (more)
