Diesen ersten Roman von Nele Neuhaus wollte kein Verlag annehmen. Dabei ist er wirklich ausgesprochen spannend. Die Investmentbankerin Alex verliebt sich in einen reichen Mann, der sich nach und nach als äußerst zwielichtig herausstellt. Auch in der Firma, bei der sie arbeitet, hat er seine Hände im Spiel. Alex erkennt, dass sie manipuliert wird und sie dreht den Spieß um. Ich finde das Buch ziemlich spannend. Vermutlich ist es klischeehaft, das kann ich nicht beurteilen. Für mich war es stimmig. Die Figuren fand ich klasse. Gerade Alex in ihrer Zerrissenheit zwischen begehren und abgestoßen sein war sehr überzeugend. Ich mochte das Buch wirklich und kann es nur empfehlen. ( )

Heel spannend verhaal weer, nu niet over het hele team in Duitsland, maar over een jonge vrouw die in New York in een corrupte bankwereld terecht komt, verliefd raakt op een maffiosi doch aantrekkelijke man. ( )

Ein echter Pageturner, ganz in der Tradition und Stil der Bücher von John Grisham.
Für einen Erstling absolut gelungen! ( )
