I have never read the book, so didn't know the story at all. Though at some point I must have picked up the whole what the aliens look like aspect, as I remembered it just before the reveal! I didn't love the series but I didn't hate it either. It was good to get a proper sci-fi plot on TV but some bits made no sense. So average result for me. ( )
