Five stories, five life paths, all intertwining in one compelling novel. This book doesn’t shy away from harder topics, and those that might be considered taboo, but they’re all handled tactfully, and not in a way meant to put the reader on edge. I loved how strong all the women were, each with their own motivations. There are some scenes that were a little difficult to read, but they definitely added to the overall story. I’d say this is somewhere between slice of life and women’s lit, and fans of either genre will enjoy this book. Definitely recommend! ( )

Intriguing story about Alex and her three friends who look back on choices they have made in life and the decisions they need to make ahead. The four friends decide to travel to Tuscany to escape from their high pressured jobs and combat their individual struggles, and greater secrets and stories are unravelled.
The twenty-six short chapters of this book taps into diverse topics based around what women go through in life. Relationships, betrayal, friendships, heartache, gender equality to name a few is what makes this book a complex but compelling read.
This debut novel is very well written. The sharp and expressive narrative brings with it vivid imagery and feelings through some intense situations in the story.
It's a page-turning book that gives you something to think about. ( )
