Four chapters for four characters of the Harry Potter books. It feels uneven because the first two chapters are longer with short biographies about Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin and information about Animagi and Werewolves. The last two are still interesting but not as much. ( )

Any Harry Potter fan would appreciate this wonderful collection of insights into the magical world. My personal favourite was the entry about Remus Lupin, it had my eyes filling with tears all over again. Rowling is such a wonderful writer and even though this is just a small snippet it showcases her wonderful imagination and style, I hope there will eventually be more of these short stories, already I can't wait to read the other two! Short and sweet, I've read all the Pottermore pieces before, but I definitely delighted in filling some much-needed downtime in my (stressful, family funeral) weekend with details about this well-loved, always missed land. ( )

I honestly didn't care for this book too much. I enjoyed the back story about Minerva McGonagall because she is by far my favorite character (tied with Luna) in the series. Without her biography I would have given this one star.

This also has a misleading title. However I prefer the other Short Stories from Hogwarts better. ( )
