Is it a good idea to supplement your diet with vitamin and mineral tablets, and if so, which ones and how much? The Vitamin Alphabet provides answers to all these questions and guides you through the many supplements on offer as well as showing you quick and easy ways to improve your eating habits. There is also advice for when you may need to take extra care of yourself and your family - adolescence, pregnancy, active living, in times of stress or after surgery - all you need to know for healthy living.

A basic reference book arranged in sections by vitamin, mineral, and herbs, the book is supplemented with a section on special needs (such as pregnancy or cancer). Information on combining nutrients and combinations to avoid is included with minimum and maximum limits for good health. An appendix with charts in the back allows the reader to check their health needs as well as those of their family. An excellent book for a family as well as libraries. ( )
