Sisters Jacqueline and Jeri take a vacation to the shore. While snooping in an old and derelict mansion, they discover a body. The mansion is the property of the current Police Chief’s family which Jacqueline feels is a bit suspicious. Jeri meets a man while flying to the shore and who happens to own the property next to her rental. Sparks fly as everyone tries to solve the mystery of the body. This is Begotten by Sheridan Wray Brett & H.M. Brett.

I enjoyed this book. It was an easy romantic suspenseful read. The characters were enjoyable with good chemistry. The author style of writing was simple but still enjoyable. The plot started out typical, but then took a nice twist and was actually quite clever.
