Loading... A Spell of Rowansby Byrd Nash
None No current Talk conversations about this book. An interesting story about an intriguing family. Although I was disappointed it didn't lean as much to the magical side as it did to the detective side. ( ![]() Thanks, Net Galley for the arc in exchange for an honest review. This is really good, the characters felt so real and the magic system was written wonderfully. They seemed so real that I felt their pain, cried for them, cried with them, felt for them. I felt so much sympathy for Liam. The cover is amazing, the plot, the magic system. I reccomend I LOVED THIS NOVEL, BUT THE REPETITIVE SENTENCES DROVE ME CRAZY!! I liked that Victoria did the right by going back to her small town when her mother passed away, and I can't imagine a mother being so ruthless to her family that scared all three children to flee from her in distance as well as in mind! Victoria had planned to leave to go to college and had begged her younger brother to go with her but Liam refused. That had been fifteen years ago, and she never got over hating her mother. I loved that Vic's former high school boyfriend had never gotten over her leaving him as they had planned to leave together, but Reed's mom had cancer and he wanted to wait a year, but Vic knew if her mother knew of her plans that she would do anything in her power to keep her at home. I could picture Reed Easton, an FBI agent from Chicago hunting down the "Ghost Killer" who was killing people of the small town but he was always days too late catch him. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ ANOTHER NOVEL BY Ms. Nash! It would be best to split this contemporary urban paranormal up over two days, and I would rate it NC17 unless the parent is reading WITH their child, in which case it would be PG15. I had an ARC and this voluntary review is my own opinion. Wow! I loved this book. The characters involved in the storyline were such a good blend that just fit in perfect to the plot. I found the Rowans quite fascinating. What a gifted group they are. They have a challenge to take care of and a mystery to solve. You can't help but dive into the story. Every page I found myself wanting to find out what was next and how the mystery was going to resolve it self. Exciting, intriguing and flat out a great read; you should give this story a shot. Worth every minute of it.!! Highly recommend. no reviews | add a review
-- But Troubles and Magic comes in Threes. But when I returned to Grimsby to settle the estate, the police hauled in my autistic brother for questioning. And my sister knows what Mother was really doing at her antiques shop, Rosemary Thyme. Hint: Nothing good. And that hometown boy I dumped way back after high school? He's in Grimsby and thinks he knows the truth about me. -- -- NOTE. No library descriptions found. |
