This is a tense play. One brother owns a junk-filled house and has a violent temper. His gentle brother takes pity on an old homeless man and invites him to stay. Over a matter of days the old man become the prey in a game of cat and mouse. One of Pinter's best. ( )

Typical Pinter. Thought provoking, confusing and quirky, and always good to read twice. I liked the caretaker better than the dumb waiter, though they have some similar elements. ( )
